Mums@YES informal information swap

Hi,  my name is Sharron, and I am the Parent Liason here at the Yes Disability Resource Centre, I am here Monday to Friday, 9.30am till 2.30pm, we have started  the  “Mum’s @ Yes” Information Swap Network.
 
These are being held bi-monthly.  Its purpose is to create an informal gathering of parents/caregivers of Special Needs Children / Teenagers / Adults to share and gather information that we have collected along the way , in the hope that it will make life just that little bit easier for someone else.   This also creates the opportunity to meet and make friends with people that are in similar circumstances as ourselves.
 
It also gives me the opportunity to share the information that comes to me through our “Yes” Network.
 
Cause let’s face it, WE DON’T KNOW WHAT WE DON’T KNOW.  And it’s my job to gather and share with you all that I can find out.
