 Every year the Yes Disability Resource Centre works towards actively supporting disabled people to take maximum control over their own lives. This is made possible by the generous support of the community and various organisations. In the past year alone, Yes has answered over 30,000 queries providing advice and information about services that assist people with a disability enabling them to achieve their goals. This year we hope to increase our services to reach disabled people who are isolated within the community with our outreach mobile education and information van. We hope to establish a data base of accessible houses which, when they come up for sale, will offer people with disabilities real choices in accommodation options. We also hope to attract 50 new mentors and mentorees to our Carabiner Youth Mentoring Programme. To enable Yes to continue to grow and develop, we rely on a broad base of community sponsorship.
